I think I did a pretty good job on my presentation yesterday. I got a lot of awesome feedback from the class that I will be sure to include in my proposal!

Volunteering

Still working on my project for Children's and working on my grant proposal. Almost finished with the cutting, next is the painting. I hope Grace likes my flowers :)

In Class Presentations

This week the people volunteering at  Mariner's Inn presented their final projects. All of the presenters had excellent ideas for contributing to their service sites. I particularly loved the exhibition to promote sexual health. My group presents next week......wish me luck!

Community Service Project

I have been designing flowers and panda bears to put into one of the ambulances at Children's. They will go on the ceiling and the children will be asked to find the panda bears amongst all the flowers while riding in the ambulance.

Snow Day

My first service opportunity has been cancelled because of the snow. Apparently Detroit does not plow side streets so the buses are not able to pick up the children tomorrow for the camp. Hopefully there will be other opportunities available soon.

Service Site Update

So, I was placed at the Children's Hospital which I am really exicited about. I have not started volunteering yet but I am suppose to be doing some type of project next Tuesday to help design some art for the hospital. I'm really looking forward to it!!
